Birthday!

Kaleb's 3rd Birthday

This is so late but thought I would get pics up anyway. We have been busy with Erich finishing up the semester starting a new job with Kaskaskia Engineering Group, potty training Kaleb. Well Kaleb had a great Birthday. April 25th was Kaleb's 3rd birthday and it was everything Thomas the Train. He is in love with trains now and can play with them all day and usual carries one with us whenever we go out. We have limited it to one train otherwise he wants to bring all the cars that go along with it. It is pretty cute though to see his imagination at work with them and to be so intrigued by something. He has now been into cars, trains now I think airplanes will be next. Definitley a boy thing. Well here are some pics. Enjoy!

Six Month's Old

Tyson is growing so fast and changing everyday. It looks
like he will have blue eyes. I am excited, I must admit I
never thought I would have a blue eyed child, but now
I have blue and brown eyed boys. He is also teething and
it looks like one tooth on the bottom has broken through
the skin. He has started eating Rice Cereal and Vegetables
and he got his first cup of Juice today. He loved it. He is
rolling over more and can sit up on his own for a few seconds
with his handssupporting him, but everytime I have him
sitting up he spits up. We love our little guy and enjoy watching
him learn and grow.

The Blessings of the Temple(Click Here)

Visit the Newsroom to read the Church’s (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) official statement on an upcoming episode of HBO’s Big Love that is said to depict temple ceremonies. If you would like to learn more, watch the video by clicking the title of the post.

The temple is something that is extremely important to me and my family. We cherish the blessings that we may obtain by attending the temple and feeling the peace that comes from God when in the walls of the temple.

Happy Birthday!

Spring Day!

It was a beautiful spring day in Peoria today. 70 degrees and sunny. We started off the day at playgroup with all Kaleb's friends and then Erich was done with school so went to the Rock Island Trail and Erich Ran a couple of miles while I pushed Kaleb in the stroller and had Tyson in the snugli. We then went home and ate lunch and decided to let Kaleb sleep in the car on the way to Bloomington. We didn't want to stay inside for 2-3 hours while Kaleb napped. Well once we got to Bloomington(only 50 min drive) we went to the miller park zoo. It was fun for Kaleb to see all the animals and a good size for him. He could walk all around since it is pretty small. We were just in time to watch the Sea lions get fed so we saw them do lots of cool tricks. The animals were all pretty active. I think it was because of the beautiful weather. We walked through a section of the zoo that is the Rain forest and Kaleb loved seeing all the bright colored birds. When we walked by the Tiger he was Roaring. So a good day at the zoo and Kaleb keeps asking to go back to the Rain Forrest. After the Zoo right out side they had a huge playground with lots of slides that is a little water park in the summer but just any normal park right now so Kaleb went down the huge slides. I was suprised he did since they were so big but he was loving them. Then finally there was a train. You couldn't get on it it was fenced in but Kaleb just loved walking around it over and over taking pictures. Then we made the trip home. Tyson slept most of the trip and only had to eat once so that was a success. He was ready to get out of the car seat and play when we got home. Here are just a couple of pics and a short video. Enjoy!

I took Tyson to the doctor today for his 4 month check up even though he is almost 5 months. Anyway he is doing well and growing. He has rolled over a couple of times but nothing consistent. We found out at his last appointment that he has Eczema, but his skin is starting to look much better with constant applications of lotion. Other then little things he is doing great.

Kaleb School

So I feel like my child (Kaleb) never sits still he is always everywhere unless he is watching a video so I thought I would start doing a little school time with him 3 days a week. Today was our first day and he did very well. We are starting with letters. He already knows most of them, but we are going to work on trying to write them and matching up other objects that begin with each letter. It lasted about 30 mins and he did excellent. I was so excited. He sat in his chair the whole time. So here are a couple pics from our class. Luckily Tyson takes a regular morning nap so I plan on doing class during his nap time.

4 Month's Old

Tyson is another month older and growing quickly. We love his happy personality. He is holding his head up and holding on to toys put into his hand. We are hoping he will roll over soon but if he is anything like his brother he will not be in a hurry.

Playgroup

Well Kaleb has been extremely into trains since he first saw the movie Polar Express. We were at playgroup and there was this cool wagon ride along toy that he kept calling a wagon train. He pulled the other kids around in it for about 1 1/2 hours. I couldn't believe he could actually pull but he did and loved it.

Fun Reading

I feel like we have been locked up in our house the last couple of weeks. First because of horrible, typical Illinois weather, sick family. Yes all of us got sick again except this time with colds. Kaleb has been running a fever and I have never seen him so still and last by choice. I have to explain. So I am sure most people have heard of the Twilight Series, well I was content to think that those books were not for me, but over Christmas I saw the movie with my sister in law Kerstin and thought it was cute and not so weird that it was a love story about a girl and a vampire. Then my dad and mom gave me Twilight for Christmas. I couldn't put it down. I had also gotten a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble so as soon as I was finished with Twilight I ran out and bought the rest. I did look at the library to get them there but both the books I was looking for had over a two year waiting list. I wasn't waiting that long. Anyway, I loved the books. I would read while I was feeding Tyson. Erich laughed at me and asked if when I went to the bathroom was I going to take the book with me. HaHa. So if you are looking for something to read that is a romance and adventure these are a good choice.

Tyson Three Month's

Tyson is already 3 month's old and cuter then ever. He is
a happy, content child. He has become quite the smiler
and has started laughing it is so cute. He also scoots around
on the floor pushing his legs. His head stays in one place
but his body goes in circles. He is a good sleeper. Goes to be well,
he seems to already have a bedtime of 8pm like his brother which
is nice and has been sleeping 6-8 hours and then another 4 hour
stretch. It still isn't consistant, but we think he is doing very
well.
