Today was the Day!

Today Kaleb was able to get his cast removed. He was so excited. The nurse used a little saw to cut the cast off and Kaleb said it tickled. When the cast came off though his arm was stiff from having it in the same position for 3 1/2 weeks so now comes the hard part. The doctor said that Kaleb needs to get back his range of motion and that it takes about 4 more weeks to heal so he can not do any sports, PE class at school, or bike riding but he no longer has the cast to protect his arm so hopefully we can remind him of this while he is playing. I am excited for him to have his arm back and it will be interesting to see how he uses his arm. He has been writing with his left hand and eating with his left hand. We will see if he goes back to the right hand or continues to use his left hand. Only time will tell.

That must have been awful. I've never had to deal with that which is shocking with 4! Glad he is doing well. You guys all look great!
