Our family piled into the car at 5am Monday morning to begin our 12 hour drive to Niagara Falls. We arrived in New York around 6pm Monday evening and set up camp. There was a huge playground right by our campsite so Kaleb was easily entertained while we set things up and got ready for dinner. Tyson was a little different constantly trying to eat grass and getting into mischief. It was a beautiful State Park and our Campsite looked out over Lake Ontario. The next morning we went and saw the beautiful Falls and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. We then ventured further east to Massachusetts to stay with my sister Jennie. While we were with my sister we went strawberry picking, swam in her pool, had pizza at this cool little place for kids. They had a guy that played the guitar, Harmonica and the kids could dance, sing, and run around. It was a wonderful family atmosphere and little club for kids. We also went to three children's museums while we were there that were all different. Kaleb of course enjoyed them. We then spent a day in Boston. Our first stop in Boston was an authentic Portuguese restaurant in Cambridge. Erich was excited to eat some traditional food from Portugal that he hasn't had since his mission. Boston has a large Portuguese poplulation so Erich was excited. The food was wonderful and even Kaleb enjoyed his lunch. If Kaleb is willing to eat it you know it is good. Since we were in cambridge we took a quick trip to see Harvard. It was a nice, but quick. Something I just wanted to see once. Now I can say I went to Harvard. We then went and walked the Freedom Trail all through Boston. It was wonderful. It does take about 3-4 hours, but the boys luckily enjoyed everything to see and were great troops. We had no wining at all if you can believe it. We saw the Old North Church, Paul Revere's House, Bunker Hill, USS Constitution. We then made our way back to one of the Chilren's museums we visted while there. It was a good thing to do to let Kaleb get out and wiggle and for Tyson to get out of the stroller. We enjoyed our beautiful trip to the East Coast. We both decided it is a place we could live. We also want to thank Jennie and Xing for letting us stay with them and see the beautiful place that they live. We then decided to venture home and drive the 17 hour trip straight through. So we left at night so that the boys could sleep and we could do quick stops during the night. It worked out beautifully. It was a wonderful family trip.Here are some pics of our trip, enjoy.

When the kids are older maybe we can go on the actual
USS Constitiution. I would have loved to see it.

Wow - looks like a fun trip! We were totally thinking of going to NY to see Palmyra and then Niagara Falls this year but I kind of nixed the idea of because of camping with a baby. How did Tyson do? Your little family is so cute! I love the last pic of Tyson smiling :) One of these days I will have to meet the little guy!
Looks like tons of fun!! Hope the car ride wasn't too smelly:) The boys look adorable....especially Erich as a sports center anchor!
