First Baseball Game !

My parents, Kaleb, and I went to a Single A Baseball game tonight. It was fun to watch Kaleb take in everything. He was pretty over stimulated. I was excited to see that at the gate he got a Mr. Potato Head, bobble head and a hat(which he is sporting in the pictures below). We had a lot of fun. It was a perfect night for a game low 70's and beautiful. In the last innings of the game Kaleb began to dose off, but everytime the crowd would cheer he woke up so he eventually gave up on sleep and just had fun playing.

Solid Foods

Kaleb has reached the exciting stage of Solid Foods. Kind of. He was able to experience rice cereal for the first time this week. He did pretty good, but of course it was all over his face.
Who Knows how much actually got in his mouth, but we keep trying.

VACATION TO UTAH!

We survived the long 20 hour drive from Illinois to Utah and 20 hours from Utah to Illinois. Kaleb was great. He was such a trooper. We have a great road tripper on our hands. He was happy and smiling the whole way. There was more complaining from us big kids in the car.
Well we kept busy seeing family and friends. Erich and I said we were going to need a vacation just to catch up from this one, but it was well worth it. Sorry for anyone that we didn't get a chance to see, hopefully next time.
Erich even managed to get a morning of fishing in and of course plenty of golf. Kaleb and I were able to spend time with my sister Rachel and her kids. Sally, Daniel, and Ethan had fun bringing Kaleb lots of toys. Kaleb just laid there and smiled. I can't wait until he can play with toys and interact. Everyone says enjoy these moments when they are little because they go so fast, but it is so fun to see them learn new things that you want them to keep learning and growing. Here are some pictures from our trip:

Kaleb and I went and played with his Aunt Rachel and his Cousins:
Sally, Daniel, and Ethan. We played at the Dinosaur muesum in Thanksgiving Point and at Aunt Rachel's.

Four Month Check Up

Height: 25 inches (50%)
Weight: 15.4 lbs (50%)
Head: 40 1/2 cm (10%)

He is growing well and developing well. He is constantly smiling. Everyone says he is such a happy baby and when he smiles it is from ear to ear. His whole face lights up and changes when he smiles. You just can't help, but smile when he smiles.

He is starting to hold on to objects better and bringing them to his mouth. Of course everything is going into his mouth.

We got the okay to try and start him on solid foods so hopefully he will be ready. Everyone tells us it is great and they sleep better. So hears hoping.

We are still waiting for him to roll over, but at this point he doesn't seem interested so we will keep giving him tummy time and enjoy our time before he is moving all over the place.

Play Time

Events of the Week (July 23-29)

  • Erich, Kaleb, and I all went to Nauvoo this weekend for our stake picnic. The picnic was fun, but the temperature was so hot. Kaleb was so flushed from the heat that he looked like he had been roasted in a tanning bed with the white circles around his eyes. As soon as we were in the air conditioned car he fell asleep. I think the heat wore him out.

(Sorry old Picture, but we haven't taken a new picture, yet)

  • Erich is done with his summer semester classes and is happy about that. He will have a short break before starting fall. The story of his life for the next couple of years.

  • Kaleb had his 3 month birthday this week. He has already grown so much and lost so much hair.

Well just to let you know what is going on with our family I will post events of the week.

  • Erich finished his last week of class and will take his final next week. He is ready for a break.
  • I am working full-time still and can't wait to go part-time so that I can spend time with Kaleb.
  • Kaleb is changing every week. New things he is doing are: starting to chuckle, Sleep about six hours straight at night. (Mom & Dad are happy about that).
