Halloween!

This was a fun Halloween for the boys this year. Lots of Halloween parties to attend and both so excited to go trick or treating. The month of October started out with getting out the Halloween decorations which includes my many Halloween books. As soon as I pulled them out we began reading. I was excited to see the boys really enjoy my favorite Halloween book that I read every year as a child. It is called "It's Halloween" by Jack Prelutsky and it is a great rhyming book. The boys then decided on their costumes for the year. Kaleb as Buzz Lightyear with a helmet that lit up. Tyson decided on Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Enjoy the many photos that are to follow.

Neighborhood Party

Pahel and Kaleb are friends from school and in the same class at school and when we showed up to the party they were both excited to see each other. They didn't leave each others side all night. Very cute.

Bean Bag Toss

This was the best to watch as the powdered donuts kept hitting the kids in the face and them wanting to eat them so much.

Rat Race.
(Yes, plastic rats were transported into a witches cauldron on the other side of the lawn) So gross, but perfect for Halloween.

So many yummy treats. Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats, Spider Cupcakes, Cookie witches hats. For lunch Mummy Hot Dogs, with apple slices in a cinnamon sugar dip.

Fall Activities

Our first field trip for Pre-School to the farm. There was train rides, Hayrides, bouncy houses, pumpkings, donuts and Hot Apple Cider. It was a fun and crazy day. Tyson continues to ask when we can go back. Here are a few pics with all Tyson's new friends. We really enjoy the group of kids he is with and I am enjoying the friendships I am making.

We have really enjoyed the Library here and the wonderful Story-times that they do. They have so many wonderful stories, songs, and movement activities and then some fun and festive crafts that go along with the season. Here is one of the crafts Tyson did this past week. He made a scarecrow and did an excellent job and yes he did this all by himself except the handle. It turned out so cute.

It was fun to have leaves to play in and jump in. Fall is my favorite season. I love the smells, the colors, and the hot apple cider.

We were able to go to the Shedd Aquarium a couple weekends ago and play in a submarine, watch a whale and dolphin show and look at all the exotic sea life. It was Erich's first time at the aquarium and it had been a couple years for the boys and I so a lot of fun was had by all.

Tyson's 4th Birthday

I can't believe 4 years have already passed since this little guy entered our life. He brings so much joy and love to our home. We had a fun day with presents, pinata, cake, and yummy candy from the pinata.
